Business process outsourcing
Business Development Manager, United States Nearshore
About the role
You will sell Canadian and blended North American delivery into United States enterprises. The proposition is specific: proximity, time zone, common law, cultural alignment and data that never leaves North America, at a cost well below equivalent United States hiring. Your buyers are operations, customer experience and technology leaders who are actively weighing offshore against onshore and have usually been burned by one of them.
This is a genuine new business role. Two days in the Toronto office, three remote, with regular travel to United States client sites.
What you will do
Build and own a pipeline of United States enterprise opportunities across your assigned sectors. Run discovery that gets past the stated requirement to the actual operational problem. Position the Canadian nearshore proposition honestly, including where offshore delivery is the better answer for part of the scope, because that is what makes the rest of the recommendation credible. Build proposals and business cases in partnership with solution and operations leads. Manage complex sales cycles involving procurement, security review and legal. Navigate United States security and privacy questionnaires with support from Information Security. Maintain accurate pipeline in Zoho CRM and forecast honestly. Feed market intelligence back into how the proposition is built and how corpshore.ca is written.
What you bring
At least five years in B2B services sales with a documented record of closing new logos of meaningful contract value. Experience selling into the United States market from Canada, or into complex enterprise buying groups generally. Understanding of outsourcing, BPO, managed services or professional services commercial models. Comfort with security, privacy and cross-border data questions, or the appetite to learn them quickly. English at C1. Resilience, because this cycle is long.
Nice to have
Existing United States network in customer experience, operations or technology buying. Spanish for the broader North American market. Experience with public sector or regulated industry procurement. Prior BPO or nearshore sales background.
What we offer
Uncapped commission with realistic on-target earnings stated above. A proposition with genuine differentiation rather than a price argument. Hybrid working. Group health and dental benefits. RRSP participation. Travel to client sites. Direct access to the leadership team when a deal needs a decision.
