Director of Artificial Intelligence

You will lead Corpshore's AI delivery practice in Canada. That means three things at once: building what clients buy, deciding what we should be capable of building next, and being credible in front of an executive committee that has been pitched AI by six vendors already this quarter and is sceptical for good reason.

Corpshore AI is ranked fifth among the top fifty AI outsourcing companies worldwide by Outsource Accelerator, with delivery capacity across more than a dozen countries. You will have that capability behind you. Your job is to point it at Canadian and North American demand.

Own the Canadian AI delivery practice: capability, quality, people and commercial outcomes. Lead client engagements from discovery through implementation, including the discovery conversations where the honest answer is that the proposed use case will not work. Set the technical direction for AI solutions delivered from Canada, spanning applied machine learning, large language model implementation, retrieval-grounded systems, intelligent document processing and automation. Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of solution consultants, engineers and data specialists. Establish and enforce AI governance practice covering model risk, evaluation, bias assessment, human oversight and compliance with Canadian privacy law, and be ready for the regulatory direction of travel rather than only its current state. Partner with the group's global data operations capability, including annotation and model alignment programmes. Represent Corpshore publicly through the corpshore.ca resource centre, industry events and client briefings. Support the sales motion with genuine technical credibility rather than slideware.

At least eight years in data science, machine learning or AI delivery, with at least three leading teams and owning client outcomes. Genuine depth in modern AI, sufficient to challenge a vendor claim, an internal estimate or a client assumption. Track record of production deployments in enterprise environments with real governance constraints, not pilots that never shipped. Executive communication ability. Understanding of Canadian privacy and data governance as it applies to AI systems. English at C1.

Bilingual capability and experience with French-language NLP, which is commercially significant here. Sector depth in financial services, government, healthcare or energy. Publication or open source contribution. Experience with SR&ED-eligible development documentation. Prior consulting or client-facing practice leadership.
