Human Resources Manager

About the role

You will lead the human resources function for Corpshore Canada, covering employees across Ontario, Quebec and Alberta plus a distributed remote workforce. Three provinces means three employment standards regimes, and a remote workforce means the province of employment is a question you will answer regularly rather than once.

What you will do

Own HR operations across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, employment documentation, performance management, leaves, accommodation and departures. Ensure compliance with Ontario Employment Standards Act, Quebec labour standards and the CNESST regime, and Alberta employment standards, including the differences that catch multi-province employers out on overtime, statutory holidays and termination entitlements. Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, with the documentation discipline that protects both the employee and the organisation. Own the Ontario pay transparency position for job postings in partnership with talent acquisition. Maintain accessibility compliance under AODA, including the accessible employment standard and accommodation processes. Administer benefits and support the RRSP programme. Manage policy development and the employee handbook in both languages. Support workforce planning during account ramps, which in this business can mean hiring forty people in six weeks. Own engagement measurement and act on what it says rather than reporting it.

What you bring

At least five years in HR with at least two at manager level. Working knowledge of employment standards in more than one Canadian province, and the judgment to know when to seek legal advice. Employee relations and investigation experience. English at C1 and French at B2 for Quebec employee matters. Discretion, and the spine to give unwelcome advice to a manager who outranks you.

Nice to have

CHRP or CHRL designation. Experience in a high-volume hiring environment or contact centre. Quebec labour law depth. Experience with AODA compliance programmes. HRIS implementation experience.

What we offer

A national function with real scope across three provincial regimes. Group health and dental benefits. RRSP participation. Funded designation maintenance. A leadership team that treats HR as a function with authority rather than an administrative service.

How to apply

Our process

  1. 1. Our talent team reviews every application against the role requirements.
  2. 2. Shortlisted candidates are invited to interview, which may include a role-related assessment.
  3. 3. We share the decision with everyone we interview, whether or not the application progresses.

Most decisions follow within a few weeks of the closing date. Urgent roles are prioritised.
